day three - my parents

june 17th; day 3 - letter to my parents

Dear Mom & Dad,
This is probably the most awkward letter to write. Sometimes we don't really get along but at the end of the day I'm grateful and thankful for all you've done for me.
Love,
Vy

day two - my crush

june 16th; day 2 - letter to my crush

Dear Daniel Henney,
Why are you so freaking hot. Gosh you're delicious and I love you. Can you take your muscular half Korean self and show up on my doorstep? Please&Thankyou.
You're the only reason that I saw X-Men Origins. You as a bad guy is so hot, why did you have to die so early in the movie though? After you died, I resumed eating my hotdog and completely forgot about the movie.
I like to stare at your handsomeness and even my boyfriend thinks you are delicious.
Really, you're hella hot.
Love,
Vy

day one - best friend

So I've decided to do this 30 day letter challenge thing because of Dylan's friend Mick. I think it's mostly a tumblr thing but yaknow, I don't want to move from blogspot haha. Okay, I'll start now and I hope I remember to do this everyday.

june 15th; day 1 - letter to my best friend

Dear Best Friend(s),
I remember a time in elementary school and maybe even middle school when I could distinctly point out one girl (because boys had cooties, obviously) and call her my best friend. These days, it's more like a barely distinct blob, but I'll try and write to all of you because really, where would I be without you all? I love you and you're still a bestie even if I don't mention you here.
Wendy and Brianna! I love you girls, we've been besties since our bopper middle school days with our matching lace camisoles and pokadot dresses. Where the heck have you been though? Like really ): June 25th is coming around again and we need to meet up for the usual dinner. Oh and Brianna, you still owe me my clothes :P you've had them since last July!
Joel Lee! You and me = gossipqueens and arena buddies. We would be the kids the go the wrong way in arena...I can't believe we've already had 2 years of english together and we're in for another year! Even though you used to think I was an intimating texting bitch and I thought you were a lame nerd, we've gotten close and we better make this last summer and year hella legit. Then again, we can go to SB together and you can crash on my couch when we're older. Call Lui to bail you out of jail though.

Speaking of Lui, you're the most interesting friend I have. You're fun to talk to because you overreact to everything but at the same time you have really deep thoughts and stuffs. Yeah haha. I also think it's hella legit that you're a boy scout and 5'11" haha. :D

There are obviously many more of you but I'd say my last two besties are Stanley and Marvin. I group you two together because you're opposites yet similar. Haha you're both way better than me at tennis, you're both great to talk to, but Stanley, you're my go to guy for fashion advice, yet Marvin, you always ask me because you're color blind. (still love you though Marvin, I'll get you a Marvin sized cardigan soon haha). Oh and one more similarity...well not really, but you live like around the corner from each other haha.
I love all of you. Like really. Gosh, such horrid writting, Galang and Arber are gonna kill me.
Love,
Vy

blue presents in june

haha Two posts in one day! Gasp! This one is just quick though. Dylan came over to give me my dress back (I left it with him after prom). He's so cute, he even washed it for me (although I suspect his mom did that haha). But more importantly, he came with a surprise too...we've named him Bwue (like Blue but with a w haha). Also my grandma knitted me a blue scarf, hence the title.

Dylan & my grandma love me haha
no clue where she got the pin but it's cute
excuse my tanktop+scarf combo...

sr prom pictures, redyed hair, and summer nights

Yay! My summer has officially reallllly started now. Even though school ended a week ago, I still had SATIIs and ACTs, but that's over now. But to relive it one last time, I'll tell the tale of my worst testing experience EVER.

So I got to the high school at around 7:45am (I was supposed to be there at 8am) and was painstaking slowly assigned to a room. Once I got into the room, it was literally 97 degrees (no AC) and I sat there until 9:17am when a proctor finally showed up (we were totally unsupervised for the first hour). Then the proctor missed reading half the instructions and we had to keep reminding her that we needed to fill in this and sign that and etc... The whole time I was just thinking "omg it's so hot, can I leave?"

And on a last academic note, I got my report card this morning and...4.8! I feel like I'm such a bragger but I'm pretty proud of myself. Of course Dylan did better but he doesn't want me to post it but we'll leave it at he did better than me even with "senioritis."

Oh also on Friday I re-dyed my hair. This time I used a box dye from Walgreens for the first time (I usually go get it down professionally). I used two boxes of Revlon ColorSilk in 33 (Dark Rich Brown or something). I like how it turned out. :D

On a last note, I spend yesterday with some of my baby cousins (omg they are adorable) and my older cousin once removed, Duke. I spent my night answering questions about colleges and such as well as being convinced by Duke to apply to Davis because they have the 4th best college food in the US haha. Of course eventually Duke and I ran away to get BK at 1am (McDs was closed). Overall a good night.

i hate verizon >:| and packing!

So I mentioned this a few hours ago in my last post but OMG I HATE HATE HATE VERIZON. Grrrr very angry Vy. I guess I should explain in detail what happened. So yesterday, for no reason, Dylan's phone stopped being able to receive texts and lets just say him and I are very text heavy. (We'd both die without unlimited texting)

I guess any other day this would bother me but it wouldn't kill me, however, Dylan is at calso until tomorrow evening and not being able to talk to him all day is driving me insane...

In conclusion, I am very unhappy with you Verizon. >:P

On a slightly happier note, I've decided to start sorting my closet for what I want to pack...
I think the ASA provided list is hilarious because I've become pro at packing over the past 11 years. I probably know FAA regulations better than most FAA agents and better know what to pack for dorm life than most college students.

Anyways, here is the suggested list:
8-10 t-shirts & casual shirts
6 pairs shorts/casual skirts
3-4 pairs jeans/casual pants
Comfortable shoes/sandals
Tennis shoes/sneakers
Socks
Underwear
Pajamas
2-3 dressier outfits (for a dinner out, final dance)
Windbreaker/raincoat
2 Sweatshirts/sweaters
Alarm clock
Bathing suit(s) & sun block
Sports equipment
A large beach towel
2 Bath towels
Pillow
Backpack
Photos of friends & family
Decorations for your room
Camera
Toiletries
Water bottle
Laundry bag
Musical instrument(s)
Shower shoes

Perhaps I'll post my own list sometime later. (:

summer is here (:

So Junior year is now officially over and I guess technically after the graduation of the c/o 2010 today, I am a senior. Wow. I know that is still very young compared to a lot of my blogger friends who are in/done with college, but it is definitely surreal to me. Like gosh it hasn't hit me that I'm a high school senior. To be honest, I never thought of what it would feel like to get here because when I was in elementary and middle school, high schoolers in general seemed so different and distant, not to mention seniors, but now I'm here.

Haha so enough with my little shock. What has happened since prom? Nothing really. I missed Dylan's graduation due both sickness and my parents wanting me to study for SAT IIs. (Bleh!) But my friends did go and scream their hearts out for him which I think is adorable and really appreciate.
Scott, Marvin, Joel, and of course my graduate Dylan (:

When I say nothing has happened, I mean it almost literally. For the past week, Dylan and I have spent the days playing with Bobby, eating IHOP, and is just lounging around his house. Haha not that I mind. (:
aww Bobby (:

Bleh so SAT IIs, they were...interesting. Physics was pretty easy to be honest, after taking Physics-C, this test was...a walk in the park. However, Literature was rape. Oh my gosh, every sentence was like "wait what?" and every question made my brain hurt. So much for AP English...haha but I'm glad it's over. I only have ACT next Saturday left...

So last night my brother and I (and Dylan sort of haha) helped me pick out the dresses I want to pack with me to ASA. I forget if I've mentioned this before but this summer I'm doing a program at Berkeley for Econ and Photography. I love these types of programs, I've gone to one every summer since 2005. From Stanford to Loyola Marymount to Johns Hopkins to Northwestern to Skidmore, I've always enjoyed the dorm life. Guess I'll enjoy college eh? haha So this year I picked Berkeley not because I'm particularly found of it, but more because it is close and Dylan can visit plus it gets brownie points for being my boyfriends future school haha. Actually he is there now for calso, one more day without him. (Verizon is bugging out so his phone can't even receive my texts)

But things are alright, I managed to get out today (after sleeping in til almost 2pm) to play some tennis with the usuals. Funny thing is, Dylan will never get to see me play because I'm soooo bad and he was (wow past tense, feels odd now that he's graduated) on the team. So we didn't really count who won and what not, it was just for fun anyways but I must say that it was hilarious that Joel and Chris were so much taller than Marvin and I. What's the healthy thing to do after burning calories? Feast on In-n-Out of course. I wish I had brought my camera to take a picture of the massive amount we ordered. ):

Anyways, I'm pretty tired now so I'm going to play Harry Potter 6 with my brother now haha. Night.
